Cobden Hotel Bham

My experience of staying at the Cobden Hotel previously known as the Quality Hotel have been brilliant minus a few hiccups.

Rooms
The rooms were basic not what you expect when you hear all the stigma about the place the first time i went i was assigned to a room on the upper floor that wasn't in the best condition so i got moved to ground floor which rooms were more up to date , cleaner and better quality so when you book a room i would say from my experience book a room on the ground floor to get a better quality stay.
You get the basics like towels ( not many so you have to ask for more or dry them in your room ) , you most of the time get a hair dryer if your on ground floor you will get a bath and a shower Ive noticed on some of the upper floors you will only get a shower personally i prefer to have the choice .
Bedding was clean from what i could see and smell although i would advice to ask to gets the beds changed regularly if you're staying for a long stay .
Unfortunately no fridge which for the basic hotel you can expect but if your on ground floor your a short walk away from the bar and restaurant in the hotel and they are a number of shops on Hagley Road and a few pubs & restaurants.
Its easy to feel more comfortable walking around

Restaurant & Bar

The Restaurant and Bar were very appealing from the look and layout and i found the Staff there to very polite and welcoming .
The restaurant does a little of everything food wise from what i can remember , but very enjoyable and had no problems at all .
The bar serves great coffee !! Which is important when i go away as i cannot function without a coffee in my day and very comfortable seating area to relax and Enjoy your drinks it also has a separate cut off area where you can enjoy a evening meal in peace and a spacious area smoking area if you smoke.










Prices
Like in any hotel stay prices cant vary depending how busy the place is but this hotel is a rather Bargain Hotel on the price which we all know can be difficult to find in the city , Prices can rage from £40 - £90 in my experience the first time i stayed it was £60 a night I'm next due to stay soon and the price is £46 a night for my stay which is really good on the bank balance so if you looking for somewhere to stay reasonably priced and that wont break the bank for a few nights this is definitely the place to go .

Location;

Can be easy to get too i travel they're from train station to the hotel which is around a 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic .

There are very mixed opinions for this hotel but if you stick to ground floor rooms are fine and very comfortable , and i am definitely going back  so i will rate my experience a 8/10
